CLIMAT AmSud 2020

NetForSur ("Assessing Andean forest vulnerability under climate change: a dendroecological, ecophysiological and biogeographic approach") is a CLIMAT AmSud project, selected in the frame of the 2020 call. NetForSur will evaluate the vulnerability of mountain forests to climate change along a latitudinal gradient in the Andes Cordillera; to achieve this goal, it will build a research network including scientists from four countries (Argentina, Chile, France, Peru) to develop synergies using similar methodologies in dendroecology, ecophysiology and remote sensing. The results will allow to complete worldwide inventories of forest dieback and to propose updating of the species vulnerability status in national or IUCN red lists. FORESTIA is the main partner of this project since it gathers participants from the INTA Bariloche in Argentina, the INRAE (several research laboratories) in France and the University of Huanta in Peru. The other partners are from several other Universities in Peru and from the University Mayor and several other universities in Chile.
