FORESTIA welcomes the Colegio de Postgraduados, Mexico

We are pleased to welcome the 4th member of the LIA FORESTIA, the Colegio de Postgraduados (CP), campus Montecillo, Texcoco, Mexico. The “Colegio de Postgraduados” is a network of high-education and research institutions spread in seven campus throughout Mexico.

The general objective is to “generate, teach, disseminate, apply and innovate scientific and technological knowledge in agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, and to train postgraduate to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of society”. The CP aims to be a “nationally and internationally recognized institution in research and postgraduate education, distinguished by the high quality of its scientific and technological results, for the human resources it trains and for its links with the sector, within a framework of innovation, sustainability and social commitment”.

The LIA FORESTIA is associated with the "posgrado en ciencias forestales" of the CP, represented by Prof. Jesus Vargas-Hernandez, with the participation of 10 other professors and researchers of the CP working on structural and functional improvement of forest ecosystems, and sustainable and competitive production in forest ecosystems.
